So you want a robot vacuum to knock a chore off your list, but if you don't want to deal with vacuuming, do you really want to deal with emptying the dust bin every time it cleans?

Even at full price, the Roomba j6+ was already the cheapest Roomba that can detect and avoid phone chargers and pet waste — and now, it's 50% off. Compared to the Roomba j7+, the j6+'s obstacle detection cameras aren't quite as precise, and still may require you to pick up things like towels or socks, or put a virtual barrier around pet bowls. But to be able to skip skimming the floor for rogue cords and enjoy automatic emptying for less than $400, you can probably deal with ensuring laundry gets into the basket.

Why we like it

The sale on this Roborock vacuum is definitely an underrated one, coming in the form of a subtle coupon that applies at checkout rather than the big, blatant strikethrough of the original price. But at $370 off, this is an almost 43% discount that deserves to be called out.

Of the handful of new models Roborock released in 2022, the Q7 Max+ is the most elite of the hybrid series. It simultaneously vacuums with tenacious suction and scrubs with water — except on carpet, where it will lift its mopping pads to keep soft floors from getting wet.
